The actor’s black eye at Screen Awards grabbed eyeballs and headlines. The actor was spotted with a black eye when he joined the Screen awards with his girlfriend Preeti Desai. Obviously, everyone wanted to know what happened. Well, Abhay wasn’t actually beaten up by anyone but he was sporting the black eye as a symbol of protest. The actor posted on a social networking site, “So last night I went to the Screen Awards sporting a black eye.

It was my way of saying visually (and symbolically) that my film’s ¬marketing has taken a hit (from music labels).” Phew! We’re glad that Abhay wasn’t actually punched in the eye by someone. And we’re proud that the actor speaks up his opinion unafraid of the circumstances. Way to go, Abhay!

Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s bodyguard Ravi was detained at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) police station and was questioned for two hours for stopping a woman from entering the backstage of an award event where Shahrukh had performed. She was not permitted to move around the close area of the stage on Tuesday night.

Senior police inspector Chandrakant Bhosale of BKC police station confirmed the news. “A Marathi actress named Sharvari lodged a complaint with us. It seems that the bodyguard didn’t allow her to enter the area even though she had an all-area access pass with her.” The actress was pushed by SRK’s bodyguard and she fell down. A source present at the event adds, “Ravi was accompanying SRK to the venue and with a huge crowd swelling around the star, this actress was pushed away by Ravi. She then fell on the ground.”

After the complaint being lodged, Ravi was called to the police station and he was let free after being warned. No FIR has been lodged in this case. However, a source close to SRK says that it was Sharvari who had disobeyed with SRK's staff. “The cops didn’t find Ravi guilty of any improper conduct; he has been working for SRK for over six years now.”

 

To thank fans for their support, the first poster of Shah Rukh Khan starrar 'Happy New Year' was not only released on social media sites Thursday, but each fan was also rewarded with a personalised poster online.

 The makers tied up with American company Digigraph for a special application for the fans. Any Twitter user who is a fan of the movie or the cast as well as the director has received a personalised poster signed by the artist of their choice. The posters is specifically addressed to the fan in the artist's own handwriting. Farah Khan, who has directed the film, promises it will be one of the most entertainting of the year.

"My dream project 'Happy New Year' takes another step towards realisation with the first poster being launched today. I believe in cinema that entertains and with a dream cast like this we hope it will be the most entertaining film of the year," said Farah. The film has been produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, whose last film "Chennai Express" was a huge hit. 'Happy New Year' a musical hiest, also stars Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.

  SRK took to Twitter to share his happiness on the launch of the poster. "I hope you like the poster for the film 'Happy New Year'. All that begins this year or ends this year for you, may it be the best for each one of you," SRK tweeted Thursday. The film is slated to release this Diwali.

Sridevi wished her fans on new year and posted a picture of her and her family enjoying their vacation. The picture has Sridevi, husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Jhanvi and Khushi sitting by the beach. The actress tweeted, ""A very happy and peaceful start to 2014" Happy New Year(sic)."
